Testing
The SPOT Test
utilizes state of the art technology to test for up to
135 allergens in one comprehensive environmental and food
panel, or on an a la carte choice of allergens available
to physicians. Each serum sample is tested for the
allergens in the patient's local environment from a total
of 12 geographic regional panels designed by Spectrum. The
antigen-antibody detection system employed by the SPOT
Test detects levels of circulating IgE in the patient's
serum with more than 97% specificity.
